To insure safe and quality water for our community, the Mesa Community Service District Board will be managing the sampling of well water throughout our community. The water samples will be analyzed at a local lab to test for contaminates such as coliform bacteria and nitrates in the water. Results will be posted on the website. Abnormal results will be referred to the Inyo County Department of Environmental Health for further investigation. Regular and proper maintenance of the waste water systems (septic systems) by home owners in the community is essential for the protection of the ground water from contamination.
